Camilla goes berserk after Prince Louis receives royal title over her grandson

A recent royal family development has reportedly caused significant tension within the palace, with Queen Camilla said to have gone "berserk" after Prince Louis, the youngest son of Prince William and Princess Catherine, was granted a full royal title, effectively elevating his status over Camilla’s own grandson.

The controversy stems from the historic royal rules surrounding the conferral of titles, which had traditionally limited princely titles to children and grandchildren of the sovereign through the male line. However, Queen Elizabeth II overturned this archaic decree in 2012, ensuring that all of Prince William’s children, including Prince Louis, would carry the Royal Highness (HRH) style and princely titles. Thus, Louis is officially recognized as Prince Louis of Cambridge, a prestigious title that places him high in the line of succession.

Camilla’s grandson, on the other hand, does not currently hold a princely title or HRH status, which has reportedly infuriated the Queen Consort. Palace insiders say that Camilla views the formal recognition of Prince Louis over her grandchild as a slight against her family, fueling ongoing rivalries within the royal inner circle.

This title disparity highlights the complexities of royal inheritance and title allocation, which continue to stir emotions among extended family members. Prince Louis’s title is more than ceremonial—it signifies his official standing and future security within the monarchy, something Camilla’s family feels they have been denied.

The tension escalates as Camilla seeks to assert influence and protect her family's position amidst the inevitable transition of power to the Cambridges. The dispute over titles exemplifies the royal family’s internal power dynamics, with traditional hierarchies challenged by modern reforms introduced by Queen Elizabeth II before her passing.
