ROYALS IN SHOCK! Zara Tindall's Humorous Jab Exposes Princess Anne's "Most Annoying" Habit

The usually composed and tight-lipped royal circle was left in stitches—and a bit of shock—this week after Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne and one of the most down-to-earth members of the royal family, took a playful jab at her mother during a candid interview, revealing what she cheekily called Princess Anne’s “most annoying” habit.

Speaking during an informal chat on a sports and lifestyle podcast, Zara, an accomplished equestrian and Olympic silver medalist, opened up about life as a royal, balancing motherhood, and what it was like growing up with the famously no-nonsense Princess Royal.

When asked what it was like to be raised by one of the hardest-working royals in the family, Zara didn’t hold back—though with a twinkle in her eye.

“She’s incredible,” Zara said of her mother. “But honestly, she has this habit of always being early. I mean ridiculously early. If she tells you to meet her at noon, she’ll be there at 11:30 and act like you’re the one running late.”

The hosts laughed, but Zara wasn’t finished.

“She doesn’t wait in the car or anything. She just marches right in, completely baffled that no one else is ready. She’s all business—even if it’s a family lunch or a school run.”

Zara’s comments, though clearly said in jest and with affection, made waves across royal fan circles and even within palace walls. Royal watchers, who know Princess Anne as a figure of discipline and quiet dedication, were amused to learn this little quirk that makes her even more relatable.

“Of all the royal ‘scandals’ this week, this might be the most charming,” one royal commentator tweeted. “Princess Anne being annoyingly early is the least surprising and most wholesome thing I’ve heard all year.”

Inside sources say the Princess Royal herself was “only mildly amused” when told about the comment. Known for her dry sense of humor, Anne reportedly replied, “Well, someone in this family has to be on time.”

Zara, who has often praised her mother’s dedication and work ethic, made it clear the remark came from a place of deep respect. “She’s just wired that way,” she said. “That military-style punctuality is baked in. I love her for it—but it drives the rest of us mad!”
