Prince Harry has recently made a heartfelt and emotional confession about his two young children, Archie, aged six, and Lilibet, aged four, shedding light on how becoming a parent has profoundly transformed his outlook on life.
During his brief visit to the UK in September 2025 to attend the WellChild Awards, which supports seriously ill children, Harry spoke candidly about the deep impact parenthood has had on him.
He described how his connection to the charity’s work became even more personal once he became a parent himself, stating, "Once you become a parent yourself, everything changes." Harry reflected on the emotional weight of seeing suffering children and families prior to having his own children, but emphasized that this experience took on a much deeper meaning once he had Archie and Lilibet.
Although Archie and Lilibet stayed back in California with Meghan Markle during this visit, Harry expressed a desire for them to eventually experience the UK, their father’s homeland. He confirmed he is considering bringing the children over for them to grow up with family, friends, and a sense of belonging in a secure environment. Harry noted that these recent travels have brought him closer to this idea.
Furthermore, Harry opened up about his aspirations to spend more time with his father, King Charles, particularly as the king faces health challenges. He hinted at hopes for greater family reconciliations in the future, including the importance of these relationships for his children’s connection to their heritage.
The Duke emphasized his gratitude for having healthy children, highlighting the emotional moments he has experienced as a parent. His openness has sparked public empathy and renewed interest in the future role his family might play within or around the royal institution.
