Meghan Markle attended the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah alongside her husband Prince Harry over the weekend, marking their first joint appearance of 2026.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were there in their role as executive producers of the documentary Cookie Queens—but Meghan also spoke about her return to acting while at Sundance. The As Ever founder has an upcoming cameo in the film Close Personal Friends, which also stars Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
“It was great,” Meghan told Variety of her first acting gig since leaving Suits to marry into the royal family in 2018. “It was a lot of fun. But that’s just the point, right? We continue to explore different ways to uplift and celebrate the entertainment industry and all the incredible pieces of work that are out there that people work so hard on—Cookie Queens being one of them.”
Cookie Queens documents the Girl Scout cookie selling process—one Meghan is intimately familiar with as a former Girl Scout herself. When asked what her favorite Girl Scout cookie is, the Duchess of Sussex said, “Isn’t everyone’s Thin Mints?” adding that she prefers “them crumbled on top of vanilla ice cream.”
