At 63, Ghislaine Maxwell Finally Breaks Silence on Donald Trump

Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, recently broke a prolonged silence regarding her relationship with former President Donald Trump.

At the age of 63 and currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, Maxwell spoke during a two-day interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche of the U.S. Department of Justice in 2025.

According to transcripts released by the DOJ, Maxwell stated she never observed Trump engage in any inappropriate conduct during her interactions with him. She described Trump as “cordial and kind,” emphasizing that she “liked him and always had.” Maxwell firmly denied any knowledge of wrongdoing by Trump in relation to the Epstein scandal, disputing conspiracy theories about a so-called “client list” or any direct involvement.

The interview was part of a broader DOJ effort to gather information about individuals connected to Epstein’s crimes. Maxwell reportedly answered questions about numerous high-profile names and provided insights without holding anything back, according to her legal representative.

Simultaneously, political discussions have arisen around the possibility of Trump granting Maxwell a pardon, especially after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Maxwell’s appeal of her conviction. Trump has expressed he would consider the matter carefully and consult with the Department of Justice before making any decision on clemency.

Maxwell’s statements and DOJ’s decision to release the interview transcripts have reignited public debates about Epstein’s network, Trump’s connections, and accountability. While Maxwell’s comments seem to distance Trump from criminal implication, the broader Epstein case continues to fuel intense scrutiny and political controversy.
